Speed Bump is essentially a renamed version of Flat Iron. Receiver prone with hips elevated. Giver behind. The ROAD METAPHOR is unfortunate but here we are. We will explain how it differs (it mostly doesnt).

What It Actually Is

Receiver face down. Hips raised on a pillow. Giver behind, kneeling or on top. Penetration from rear entry.

This is functionally identical to Flat Iron with a different brand name. Some position guides distinguish them by tiny variations: speed bump uses a larger pillow, flat iron uses a smaller one. Or speed bump has the receiver more curved up. Or some other minor difference. The actual sensation is essentially the same.

Sex position guide bloat is real. Many positions are essentially the same with rebranding. Speed Bump and Flat Iron are one of the clearest examples.

How To Actually Do It

Just follow the Flat Iron guide. The mechanics are identical. The naming is different.

If you want to be technical: speed bump versions sometimes use a larger pillow or a wedge to elevate the hips MORE than flat iron. The angle gets steeper. The depth gets deeper. Otherwise its the same position.

The Bottom Line

Speed Bump is rebranded Flat Iron. The pillow is the position. Use a bigger pillow if you want.

Read the Flat Iron guide. Use a thicker pillow or a wedge cushion if you want the steeper angle version. Same general experience. Different name.
