GRAVE

A folded missionary variant with a name that sounds like a goth band. Receiver folded knees up. Giver kneeling above. Yes the name is dark. The position is fine.

On The Grave is a deep folded position similar to Mating Press but with a more dramatic name. The mechanics: receiver folded, giver kneeling above with full body lean. Different name, similar territory.

What It Actually Is

Receiver on back, knees folded toward chest. Giver kneeling above, leaning forward over the receiver. Penetration deep. Eye contact close.

Bottom partner lies on their back, knees pulled toward chest (like Mating Press). Top partner kneels above, but instead of straddling, the giver leans forward DOWN OVER the receiver, hands on the bed beside the receivers shoulders. Penetration angle is similar to Mating Press but with the giver bearing more weight forward over the receiver, giving a sensation of being pinned or covered.

The name supposedly evokes the visual of one partner standing or kneeling over another in a graveyard pose. Sex position naming continues to be cursed. Anyway, the position is a Mating Press cousin.

Knees up toward chest. Modified Mating Press starting position.

Giver kneels and leans forward
Knees outside the receivers hips. Hands plant on the bed beside the receivers shoulders. Body leans forward and down over the receiver.

Penetrate at the deep angle
Same depth as Mating Press. The forward lean adds the pinned sensation. Receiver feels covered and held.

Eye contact close
Faces are inches apart. The intensity of the position comes from the proximity and the depth combined.

Watch the time
Like Mating Press, this position has a time limit. 5 to 10 minutes for most receivers before the fold gets uncomfortable.

The Bottom Line

On The Grave is Mating Press with more giver lean. Same depth. Different feel.

Try it as a variation when you want the depth of Mating Press but more visual covering by the giver. Both work. Pick based on the night.
