Leapfrog is doggy style with the chest down. That one change fixes about four problems most couples have with regular doggy and unlocks a different angle.

What It Actually Is

Receiver kneels with knees on the bed but lowers their chest, shoulders, and head ONTO the bed. Forearms on the bed too, not hands. Hips stay up. Partner kneels behind, like regular back-entry.

From above it looks like doggy with the front half flattened. The position is sometimes called "downward dog" in non-yoga contexts, or "face down ass up," or by its actual name: leapfrog.

Why It Works

No wrist or shoulder strain

Regular doggy puts all the upper body weight on the wrists and locked-out elbows. Leapfrog moves that weight to the forearms and chest. The receiver can stay in this position for 30 minutes without their arms quitting.

Deeper natural angle

Dropping the chest tilts the hips. Penetration angle changes from "straight in" to "slightly down toward the front wall." Most receivers report it hits differently and most penetrating partners report deeper reach without trying.

Common Mistakes

Trying it on a hard mattress

Chest and forearms need cushion. A folded blanket under the upper body or a soft bed makes the position. A futon ruins it.

Hips dropping during the scene

As the receiver gets into it, hips can drift down. Penetrating partner gently guides them back up with hands on the hips. Maintains the angle.

Forgetting it works for long sessions
